The Timing Control, or T-Con Board is a part of your TV's LCD Panel Assembly. The T-Con Board is centered on the top or bottom edge of the back of the Panel and hidden under a metal or plastic cover. It is connected to the Main Board via the LVDS Cable, and to the LCD Panel via flat ribbon cables. Samsung T-Con boards are part-number specific, and do not require matching TV model number, serial number, or panel number in order to confirm compatibility.

If the label found on the back of the panel begins with LT, then the TCON board will be manufactured by Samsung and is identified by using the following part number pattern: LJ94- followed by 5 numbers and 1 letter for a suffix(LJ94-#####[A-Z]). The LJ94- portion of the part number will never appear anywhere on the T-Con board, but the rest of the part number can be found within a mix of numbers and letters printed on the board label. These labels vary in location, size, and color, and can also have a barcode printed on them.

Look for the line of text that begins with 1 letter, followed by 5 numbers, 1 letter, and then a mix of numbers and letters. Ignore the first letter and write down the five numbers and letter that follows. Should the T-Con label only have 4 numbers printed after the first letter, you must add a zero in front of the four numbers to complete your Samsung part number. Write LJ94- in front of these six characters, and you have successfully identified the part number for your Samsung T-Con Board!

If searching your part number directs you to items that have slightly different part numbers, take a look at the product details to confirm that your part number is in the substitute parts field. As long as your part number is found in the substitute parts field, this item will be a compatible substitute and will work in your TV.

- Search Scenario #3: Your Search Has Multiple Results
If searching your part number directs you to items that have slightly different LJ94 numbers, take a look at the product details to confirm that your part number is in the Substitute Parts field. As long as your part number is found in the Substitute Parts field, this item will be a compatible substitute and will work in your TV.

- Search Scenario #4: Your Item Is Out of Stock
If your part number is out of stock, be sure to check the Substitute Parts field on the product page for compatible replacements. These substitutes are guaranteed to replace your original board, even if the part numbers on the board do not match.

- Note:
Shopjimmy has found that after installing some T-Con Boards, mainly in Samsung and Sony models, the TV may require an update. This may require pressing the TV or remote control buttons in a specific order, or uploading new firmware via a USB flashdrive. Make sure to check the notes on any relative ShopJimmy product pages to see if an update is required for your specific T-Con Board.
