Bulb replacement for Toshiba Y66-LMP Lamp.
To properly replace the bulb inside your projection TV, you will need the following items. A pair of latex gloves your shopjimmy.com replacement lamp a cup to hold your lamp's screws clips and other small items and both a flathead and phillips screwdriver, so let's get to it shall we.
Release the lamp plug from the housing by removing the two screws that surround the plug. Pry the lamp plug loose and place into the housing. Remove all other housing screws with a screwdriver. For this lamp there are only three housing screw located on two sides of the housing. Identify plastic clips and separate the housing. Release the bulb from the housing by removing the screws and metal bulb clips. Make sure to note the locations of clips, orientation of the bulb within t he housing and orientation of the wires. Remove the bulb from the housing. Prior to installing your new bulb, check both bulbs and verify they are equal.
Place the new bulb into the front housing piece referring to your notes to ensure the correct orientation. Reinstall the bulb clips and screws referring to your notes to verify your placing the clips in the correct locations. Slide the lamp plug through and reconnect both sides of the housing. Reinsert all housing screws. Slide the plug back into place and hold it in place with the corresponding screws.
