Circuits &Components for Beginners Part 8

In this video we look Diodes from the point of view of a repair technician. This is a very common type of electronics component and we often need to be able to work out if they are good or faulty. We look at what Diodes do, how they work and how to recognize a variety of different types of Diode.


We look a the circuit diagram symbols for various types of Diode, how their ratings are specified (Volts, Amps, Watts) as well as the types of marking commonly found on the components themselves

We also find out what happens when they go wrong, how they fail and how to test them either individually or in circuit
