In this video tutorial we will show you how to animate in GIMP.
In order to create animation from the text in GIMP editor, start the program. Go to the "File" menu and choose "New". In the appeared window set the image properties and press "OK".
Select the "Text Tool".
Type the text in the image area and format it. Choose the "Text Tool" again and add another portion of the text.
As you can see, every part of the text is located on a separate layer in the "Layer" window. Lets rename the layers and set the delay time in brackets.
Then go to the "Filters" menu, select "Animation" and choose "Playback" to see the preview.
In the appeared window, click on "Play".
As you can see, you have successfully created the animation from text.
Now go to the "File" menu and choose "Export".
Name the file with "gif" extension and select the destination folder. Press "Export" button. In the pop-up window check the "As animation" option and press "Export".
Now lets check the created file by opening it with Internet Explorer. The animation has been successfully created.
