In this video tutorial we will show you how to create Illustrator templates.

Launch the Adobe Illustrator. We will create a business card template. Go to the "File" menu and select the "New" option to create a new document. In the appeared window, set the document properties and press "OK". Click on the "Type Tool" icon in the toolbar.

Use the "Type Tool" to create a label with your name on it.

You can set the options for the label, like font style and paragraph alignment with the "Attributes" toolbar.

Switch to the "Selection Tool" and resize text by dragging the label corner marker. Holding the "Shift" key while dragging will maintain the proportions. Type the other business card requisites and align them on the sheet. You can place a company logo in the unoccupied space.

After the template creation process has been successfully completed, go to the "File" menu and click on the "Save as Template" option.

In the appeared dialog box, name the template file and press "Save". By default, all pre-installed templates are saved in the "Templates" folder. You will be prompted to enter template save path. In the appeared window, click on the "Yes" button to change the location of the created template. Then press "Save" in the previous window. Now a new template has been successfully created.
