Launch the Adobe Illustrator. To create a new document, go to the "File" menu and choose "New". In the following window, set the document properties and press "OK". Click on the "Line Segment Tool" icon in the toolbar.

Click in the document area and set the tool options in the appeared window. Click on the "OK" button to accept changes.

Choose the "Selection Tool" from the toolbar and copy the created line while holding the "Alt" key on the keyboard. Select both lines and go to the "Object" menu and select the "Blend Options" from the "Blend" submenu.

In the appeared window, select the "Specified Steps" from the "Select" drop-down list. Set the steps and press "OK". Go to the "Object" menu and select "Make" from the "Blend" submenu.

Go to the "Effect" menu and select the "Roughen" option under the "Distort & Transform" submenu.

In the following window, make the required adjustments in the "Options" section and press "OK". Then select the resulting object and drag and drop it onto the "Brushes" palette. In the appeared "New Brush" window select the "Pattern Brush" option and press "OK".

In the following "Pattern Brush Options" window, find the "Colorization" section and select the "Hue Shift" from the "Method" drop-down list. Click on the "OK" button to accept changes.
