In this video tutorial we will show you how to use blend tool in Illustrator.

Launch the Adobe Illustrator. Go to the "File" menu and choose "New". In the appeared window, set the document properties and press "OK". Select the "Star Tool" from the toolbar.

Create a star in the document area while holding the "Shift" key to maintain proportions. Then, select the "Stroke" icon in the toolbar and click on the "None" icon to remove the object stroke. Click on the "Fill" icon and open the "Color Picker" window. In the appeared window, select the star color and press "OK". Switch to the "Selection Tool" and copy the star by dragging it while holding the "Alt" key. Then open the "Color Picker" window and change the color of the second star. Select all objects while holding the "Shift" key.

Go to the "Object" menu, choose "Blend" and select the "Blend Options" from the submenu.

Select the "Smooth Color" from the "Spacing" menu and press "OK". Go to the "Object" menu, choose the "Blend" option and select "Make". In order to change the fill direction, go to the "Object" menu, choose "Blend" and select the "Reverse Spine" option from the submenu.

Then, open the "Blend Options" again. Select the "Specified Steps" from the "Spacing" menu.


Set the number of steps and press "OK". Open the "Blend Options" and select the "Specified Distance". Set the distance that you want and press "OK". Choose the "Star Tool" and create another star. Select all created objects and go to the "Object" menu. Choose the "Blend" option and select "Replace Spine" from the submenu.
