Learn how to draw the tables with grid tool in the Adobe Illustrator

In this video tutorial we will show you how to use Illustrator grid tool.

Launch the Adobe Illustrator. Go to the "File" menu and choose "New" option to create a new document. In the appeared window set the document properties and press "OK". Choose the "Rectangular Grid Tool" from the program toolbar.

Create the grid in the document area while holding the left mouse button and moving the mouse.

Then while holding the left mouse button press the "С" key on the keyboard to determine the size of table cells horizontally.

Or press the "X" key to return the size of the cells in the original position. Press the "V" key on the keyboard to determine the size of table cells vertically. Or press the "F" to return the size of the cells in the original position, and only then release the left mouse button. Choose the "Direct Selection Tool" from the toolbar and select the point of the vertcal line that you want to delete. Move it outside the table border and press the "Delete" key. Then select the another point on the table border and press the "Delete" key again. Select the points of the horizontal line in the table while holding the "Shift" key, and press the "Delete" key. Apply these actions to all lines that you want to delete. As you can see, the table has been successfully created with Illustrator grid tool.
