In this tutorial, you will learn how to Mirror an Image in Photoshop.

Unfortunately, Photoshop doesn’t offer a live rendered mirror effect, so we’ll have to do this manually. That said, this should be very simple even for the beginners!

Open the image in Photoshop. If you’re trying to flip the image only, then go to Image - Image Rotation - Flip Horizontally or Vertically. If, however, we are trying to make a mirror reflection, then here’s what to do. Duplicate your layer, by pressing CMD+J and then go to Edit - Transform - Flip Horizontally. This will only flip the selected layer. Now just move around and align the layers the way you want. You may need to click on the lock icon on the first layer, to be able to move it around as well.

Now, using Rectangular marquee tool, simply select the excess part and remove it.

It’s really that simple! Now you can apply additional effects or just save the image!
