In this tutorial, you will learn How to Create Repeating Seamless Patterns in Photoshop.

If you are planning on creating seamless patterns from a file that you have, the only thing to worry about is to make sure that the edges fit together perfectly. This is generally the case if you acquire pattern images from the web. In this tutorial, we’ll discuss how to turn these images into actual patterns that you can use in Photoshop.

️ Open the file in photoshop and go to Edit - Define Patter and type in a name for the patter. Press Ok to save it.

️ Now to use this pattern, open a new document that’s larger than the patter file. Create a new layer and paint it any color. Click on FX in layers tab and choose Pattern Overlay. Here you can choose the pattern you have. You can also change the scale to further tailor it to your needs. Click OK when done.
