In this tutorial you will learn how to Create a Pixel Stretch Effect in Photoshop CC.
Pixel stretch is a glitch technique that is quite easy to accomplish, however may require some forward thinking if you want to achieve very eye-catching results.
To start off, start by duplicating your layer. It’s always good to have a backup layer you can revert back to. Now select the Single Row Marquee Tool.
You may have to click and hold down the mouse over the Rectangular or Elliptical Marquee Tool until it reveals a small menu.
With the Single Row Marquee Tool selected, click on an area in your image that you think is interesting.
Now go to Edit and select Free Transform. Click on the edge that you desire to stretch, and drag in that direction. When you’ve finished stretching the selection, press enter and there you go.
This technique can be utilized in many creative ways.
You can choose and pick a selection according to your creativity.
What’s your favorite glitch effect? Please let us know in comments.
