In this video, learn the basic concepts of query and how to set it up when working in Microsoft Access 2010.

In this section, we're going to start to look at Queries. In many ways Queries represent the main advantage that Microsoft Access has over a Spreadsheet. With a Query you can answer specific questions about your Data and you don't have to directly read the Data from the Tables. Queries can be used to Filter Data, to do Calculations, and to do Summaries. They can also do things like update Data, make New Tables, and so on. So Queries are a very powerful and important tool within Access 2010. We're going to start by looking at a very simple example of a basic sort of Query which is called a Select Query.
