During this Microsoft Project 2016 training tutorial video, we will talk about adding project resources in MS Project. For example, people, equipment, and materials. We'll then look at how resources can be classified into Work, Material, and Cost. The main functions we'll use to do all this include:
- The Resource Sheet
- Gantt Chart View
- Team Planner View.

We will also walk you through how to use Resources through the process of filling up the Resource Sheet.

We then show you some of the basic ways of assigning resources to specific tasks. We will also discuss other functions such as increasing the amount of work in a project but keeping the duration the same.

Your expert MS Project instructor then continues with the different types of tasks that are available in Project 2016. We'll also look at some of the options available when adding resources to a project. These include: "reduce duration but keep the same amount of work," "increase the amount of work but keep the same duration," and "reduce the hours resources work per day (units), but keep the same duration and work."

Discover the difference between manual and automatic scheduling, the latter being one of the most significant features of Project 2016. You will also learn how some functions work such as outdent task, indent task, assign resources, and setting task type.

This Project 2016 crash course continues with the basics of resource leveling. We will be demonstrating on the manual resolution of overallocation as well as automating the leveling of resources. We will also be looking at overallocation, as well as choosing the leveling order.

We finish this training with an exercise to complete based on resource leveling and leveling options.
