If you're ever selling something technical like a software, API, or specialized service, you probably already know how complicated some deals can be.

Sometimes our prospects might ask us a very technical question that's out of our scope of knowledge... and we might not have an answer.
It doesn't matter if you're in sales development, business development, an account executive or an account manager... you're bound to run into these issues at some point in your career.

But that's okay because I've always believed selling is a team sport.
You see, back when I worked as an account executive at Oracle, my customers would always ask me technical questions when it got close to closing the deal.

Now, I could answer these questions from a high level, but I found it much simpler to bring in a sales consulting (also known as a sales engineer), to give me the support I needed to get the deal done.
