When validating your list of prospects, you want to make sure of two things:

1. You’re pitching relevant prospects.
2. These are actually the links you want.

This stage can be pretty monotonous but it’s necessary. There are three steps you can take to vet your prospects.

First, you can narrow down your list of prospects by SEO metrics. The two most common metrics to use are Domain Rating and domain-level website traffic.

But trusting these two metrics alone would be a mistake.

So the second step would be to ensure that prospects’ pages are relevant to the page you’re pitching. At this stage, you need to scan your prospect pages’ titles to get an idea of what the page is about.

Finally, you’ll need to validate that your pitch angle is relevant. Meaning, you should check each prospect’s page to make sure they’re still mentioning the linkable point. And this can be done in a semi-automated way (under 5 minutes) which is taught in the video.

Watch the video to learn more about how to vet your prospects in each one of these three steps.
