Check out our Pinterest Audiences Tutorial for 2019. We talk about how to create Pinterest Remarketing Audiences, Pinterest Customer List Audiences, Pinterest Engagement Audiences, and Pinterest Actalike audiences. In addition, we show you how to include and exclude these audiences from your campaigns.

Pinterest audience targeting allows you to show your ads to people who are more likely to already be familiar with your brand, your website, and your Pinterest pins. In addition, you can target people who are similar to your existing audiences, which will help you create new customers for your business.

You can target your website visitor list, customers from your CRM, or people who have already engaged with your brand on Pinterest. Once you’ve identified your most valuable customers, you can use actalike audiences to find other people with similar interests and behaviors.

How to Create Pinterest Audiences:

The first thing you want to do is confirm your website through your Pinterest profile. From there, you can add the conversion tracking tag to your website. We listed some steps below that you can follow.

1. Click Ads at the top of Pinterest
2. Select "Audiences"
3. Click Create Audience
4. Select your audience type and click Next
5. Follow the prompts and click Create

Each audience needs to have 100 people before you can start using it. For example, if you upload a list of 300 people but if Pinterest can only match 90 total people, you will need to upload more emails to actually target that audience.

Types of Pinterest Audiences:

Customer List Audiences:

When you create a customer list, you’ll need to upload a single column CSV with either a list of emails of Mobile Ad IDs (MAIDs). Additional information, like names, should be left out.

Website Visitors Audiences:

Website visitors audiences would be Pinterest Remarketing audiences. You can target people who have visited your website or specific pages on your website.

Engagement Audiences:

Engagement audiences are created using people who have engaged with your pins by clicking on them, saving them, and more. You can target people who have shown interest in your products and Pinterest pins already.

Actalike Pinterest Audiences:

Actalike targeting helps you easily reach people similar to your existing audience.
