Google Ads had a notification on September 2, 2020 that "We are updating the search terms report to only include terms that were searched by a significant number of users. As a result you may see fewer terms in your report going forward." There will be less data in the search terms report moving forward according to this announcement. Google Ads said in a statement that privacy was the main reason for the change.

My Initial Thoughts:

- Google Ads shouldn't limit any of the data that advertisers use to optimize their campaigns.

- Less data = More wasted ad spend.

- Hurts advertisers in competitive industries that pay high costs for each click.

- If privacy is the main concern, then allow advertisers to export all search terms along with statistics.
