Naeem Altaf, IBM’s Space Tech CTO, explains an edge computing project he’s leading with NASA to help analyze DNA onboard the International Space Station. 

This project is helping to prepare for NASA’s Artemis mission to land humans on the Moon again as early as 2024 and future missions to Mars (which could last many years) by analyzing how the space environment and long-term exposure to radiation affects the genetic makeup of organisms from plants to people.
