French Apple Cake, Super moist and easy to make!
1) We all love a simple recipe that yields incredible results. Guess what? This is it! A French apple cake that can be prepared under 20 minutes and ready under 60 minutes. It’s slightly buttery with a beautiful crumbly outside texture, and incredibly moist crumb. Try and stop at one slice I dare you! I’ve made this cake so many times and each time my guests go crazy for it. This will be your “goto” secret cake recipe, that will be passed on for generations. Like a lot of French baking recipes, it’s the simplicity that’s makes it incredible!
2) With this yogurt cake, you’ll never need to buy packet cake mixes again, this incredible yogurt cake is so simple and virtually fail proof. Plus it tastes delicious. Prepared in 10 minutes, cooked in 20-45 depending on cake pan size and oven. No measuring tools required, just use the yogurt tub, so less washing up. This yogurt cake is the best quick and simple cake recipe you will ever find. It’s moist and light and fluffy. Enjoy it warm with a coffee or tea. Use a good non stick cake pan, I used a 24cm or 9½ inch metal cake pan. For the yogurt, I used plain natural Greek yogurt for its consistency, it seems to work the best. If the amount of oil concerns you a little, then you can cut it down, but why would you want dryer cake? You may end up buttering it to make up for it, so I would recommend to eat a smaller slice and at least enjoy it for what it is. Just don’t eat it everyday, it’s a once in a while treat, and why not treat yourself and your guests.
3) This apple cake is a variation from the Italian Umbrian specialty. It is rich in fruit containing at least 80 percent fruit and is deliciously soft and moist. The addition of delicate pears and soaked raisins brings this recipe to another level. The rum is totally optional, but if you like the taste of rum in your desserts, please add it in, you will love this.
Cover and refrigerate once cooled down, and it’s best to serve it warm. Try and use good quality cooking pears and apples for a better result.
For the cake pan, the size I used is a 9inch – 23cm spring form.

4) Tres LechesCake. A very light sponge cake soaked with a mixture of three milks. This is a simplified version but the results are outstanding. This is without doubt the best recipe you will find. I’m still not sure of the exact origin of Tres leches Cake, but I’m told it’s from Central America, others tell me Spain and Mexico. It doesn’t matter where it’s from, this cake is pure heaven. I use rum in my recipe for that extra kick, you can of course leave it out and replace it with vanilla or a zest of lemon. For me it’s the rum that makes this already incredible cake into an amazing Tres Leches Cake.
5) Chocolate cake. You won’t believe there’s no flour. A flourless, gluten-free fudgy chocolate cake, perfect for chocolate lovers. Simple and quick to make. This cake will satisfy your biggest chocolate cravings. It’s moist on the inside, a little crumbly on the outside and perfect with whipped cream and berries. You can also have it on its own, just sprinkle a little chocolate powder or cacao on top. Perfect with that cut of coffee or tea. You can use a stand mixer, hand mixer or if up to it, a hand whisk. If you preheat your oven, it can be made in 45 minutes.
6) French Tarte Tatin Apple Tart. Possibly the finest apple dessert you will ever taste! Simplicity at its best, the French Tarte Tatin is basically sugar apples and pastry yet it tastes out of this world! This French Tarte Tartin recipe is the thicker one, placing the apple pieces vertically for a higher impressive looking tart.
