A common place to get sore muscles is in the shoulder and neck area. An upper trap stretch is a great way to relax muscles in the neck and shoulder.
Next is a chest stretch. Often these muscles become sore due to bad posture. Then stretch the muscles on the opposite side in the mid to upper back area with a rhomboid stretch.
Now for some stretches lying down. A trunk rotation stretch is a great way to relax tight and sore back muscles in the low back and along the sides. After that, an active assisted (AA) hamstring stretch is a great way to relax the back and the hip joint. Then a knee to chest stretch will help relax the back, the hips, and the knees.
Finally, some diaphragmatic breathing is a great way to relax the whole body by helping calm down the nervous system.
