This is the single most-effective stretch for plantar fasciitis pain that you can do! The plantar fascia is a broad ligament that holds the bottom of our foot together and makes walking/moving more efficient. The fibers of the plantar fascia ligament are actually continuous with the Achilles tendon (up on the back of our heel). In order to stretch it the best, your stretch should focus on the bottom of your foot AND your calf/Achilles. This is the stretch I love the most and my patients all agree!
