You have two options to create tables in Word. The first option is to use Word's Insert tab, which is on the ribbon at the top of the screen. Start by placing your cursor at the spot in the document where you want to place the table. Then, click the Table dropdown button on the Insert tab.

The small blue squares show you how many rows and columns your table will have. Hover over them to size the MS Word table exactly how you want it. Then, click once, and your Word table will appear.

A second option is to use the Insert dropdown menu above the ribbon. Choose Table, and the Insert Table menu appears. Choose how many rows and columns you want, then click OK.
