We’ll use the Puzzle Diagram PowerPoint template from Envato Elements in our tutorial. It’s full of sleek puzzle piece PowerPoint layouts. Begin by removing extra content from the puzzle pieces, like the included icons. This shows the value of premium templates. They let you keep creative control while enjoying elegant styles. Click on each icon, and press Delete.

Then, click into the text boxes surrounding the puzzle. Select the contents, and type in your own words. And then, click on a puzzle piece. Find the Shape Format tab, and click on Shape Fill. From the array of color thumbnails, choose a new shade by clicking on it. PowerPoint will update the puzzle piece to match!

Finally, don’t forget to animate! With part of your puzzle selected, go to the Animations tab and choose a new design from the gallery. PowerPoint will preview the animation and add it to the puzzle. You can find more animation options by clicking on Animation Pane, where you can reorder effects and change how they look.
