Need to make your PowerPoint slides more interesting? Adding photos is a great way to do that. When you do, you can edit PowerPoint images inside the app. In this video, you’ll learn how to quickly work with images in PowerPoint.

On a blank slide, you have two ways to add an image. You can find a photo online, copy it to your clipboard, and paste it onto the slide. But you need to be sure you’re licensed to use the image. With Elements stock photos, you have the licenses that you need.

You can also add images by using the Insert / Pictures menu. Choose This Device, browse to a stored image, and click to insert it. PowerPoint will place the photo you’ve chosen onto your slide. With the photo selected, you can start making edits.

Pull on the white circles in the corners. This resizes your image. You can also click and drag on the photo to move it around the slide. Additionally, you can pull on the white circle handle at the top to rotate the image itself.

More options are found on the Picture Format tab. Here, you can crop and rotate photos using the respective menu options. You can also apply corrections, like color changes, brightness edits, and more.
