We’ll work with the beautiful MARCO Google Slides template from Elements: https://elements.envato.com/marco-google-slide-32RY8C?utm_campaign=yt_tutsplus_joVNOCmcjrw&utm_medium=referral&utm_source=youtube.com&utm_content=description
On slide #5, let’s work with a list of references. You’ll want to be sure that the ruler tool is showing. If you don’t see the ruler, you can turn it on easily. To do that, go to the View tab, and then click Show Ruler. Now, the ruler will appear.
To add the hanging indent in Google Slides, click into your paragraph to select it. Then, go to the ruler and click and hold on the arrow icon. Pull it 0.5 inches to the right, then release your cursor. All the text will be indented.
To create a true hanging indent in Google Slides, grab the horizontal bar right above the arrow. Then, pull it back to the left until it’s placed at 0.0 inches. You’ll see your hanging indent appear!
Hanging indents apply to full paragraphs. If you type more references, you'll see a hanging indent format appear automatically.
That's all it takes! As you can see, it's incredibly easy to create hanging indents in Google Slides. That's all thanks to beautiful premium templates from Envato Elements.
