So you need to know how to find the right music for your video. You’re almost done editing, and since you can’t use that stupidly popular song you like—and there’s no way we’re for paying royalties—what do we do? I guess some of you would go to YouTube, and type in something like: “Free background music”, “Background music for videos”, or “Music for tutorials”. Or how about some dreadful “happy ukulele music”?

If you're doing that, you're doing it WRONG!

Choosing music for videos is not an easy task. If you really want to craft something memorable, then it might be wise to stop with the generic search terms and start treating the subject with due respect.

Just ask yourself: Is this track effective? Or is it just cool? Does it match the visual rhythm of my video? Does it complement or contrast the main subject? And have you even looked at the waveform of the track? All these questions are important to consider. So we’ll go through them in this video.
