We’ve received many comments about health benefits from certain foods and Green Tea is probably one of the most popular questions we get.
So, in this week’s video, it’s all gonna be about what is green tea, possible health benefits, what conditions it may help with, any situations where you should speak to a healthcare professional, and tips on how to brew the perfect green tea. Feel free to skip to certain sections that will be time stamped.
Now as a healthcare professional, I've seen some mad claims about Green Tea. So today, my aim is to make sure all the information in this video is accurate and factual for you guys.
Green tea has been used in traditional Indian and Chinese medicines for centuries? It has been historically used to control bleeding, heal wounds, aid digestion, and regulate body temperature. But remember, even though it has been used throughout history, there isn't much evidence to support these uses.
Despite being one of the most widely consumed drinks in the world, green tea is often seen by the media as a so-called superfood, attributed with various health benefits. This reputation rests on the fact that green tea is a rich source of nutrients, which provide much of the colour and aroma of tea.
Green tea is made from the Camellia sinensis plant. The dried leaves and leaf buds are used to produce various types of teas. Green tea is prepared by steaming and pan-frying these leaves and then drying them.

GREEN TEA FOR WEIGHT LOSS:
Another common comment about Green tea, is that it can help you burn fat. In some studies, green tea has been shown to increase fat burning and boost metabolic rate. However, in other studies, it has been shown that this doesn’t happen, so not all studies agree.
There may be some evidence of increased metabolism and fat burning shown in some lab models where there was a decrease in new blood vessel formation within fat storage. This means that it literally takes away the vital nutrition for your fat, and makes it die. But remember, this evidence isn’t strong enough to support the use of green tea solely for losing weight.
