HOW TO IMPROVE CONCENTRATION:
These days there are so many distractions like your phone, your computer and your TV! How can you get anything done? Well in this week's video I’m going to give you 13 TIPS on how to improve concentration. I’ll also be going through situations where it might be necessary to seek medical advice from your healthcare professional.

HOW MUCH SLEEP IS REQUIRED:
If you haven’t slept well you will find it difficult to concentrate as you will be tired and probably a bit grumpy! As an adult make sure you get at least 8 hours of sleep each night as it helps with brain recovery and the formation of connections between neurons to preserve memories and learning.

WHEN TO SEEK MEDICAL ATTENTION:
As I mentioned earlier, there may be situations where you can’t concentrate. You may need to see your healthcare professional for advice if you experience any of these four scenarios:

Number ONE: You may feel that you can’t sit still or get anything done. No matter how much you try and even if you change the environment, like work or at home, there is no improvement in your level of concentration.

Number TWO: If you’re feeling like you can’t think around any traumatising experience or you are generally feeling quite low, you might find it hard to concentrate.

Number THREE: You might have had a head injury in the past and it may be affecting your ability to concentrate. Your healthcare professional will be able to advise you on how to recover in the long term.

Number FOUR: Difficulty with your vision might be causing headaches or eye ache that can be extremely uncomfortable or even painful. Blurry vision, squinting to read or headaches that don’t go away, such as migraines, should definitely be checked by your healthcare professional.
