Not all patients with a peroneus longus subluxation need surgery. This gentleman has had a long history of chronic ankle sprains. Most recent sprain left him with snapping, instability and pain in the lateral ankle and with a peroneus longus subluxation. Very successful with a course of physical therapy and bracing.
