Here we have a 16 y/o female with an ACL Tear and I show you the most common signs and symptoms which are:
Mechanism of injury: planted foot and bucking of the knee inward
Flexed knee gait
Swelling in the knee joint (effusion)
Positive Lachman's test
Quadriceps shut down

In preparation for surgery, we are working on swelling control, regaining ROM, re-activating the quadriceps, OPTIMIZING extension, improving gait and building up balance and proprioception.
