3:47 Get started with your keto diet plan!

In this video, I’m going to tell you what you can expect when you start your keto diet plan. One of the first side effects of a ketogenic diet is water weight loss. Some people lose 13 pounds of water weight in the first 2 weeks!

Carbohydrates cause you to retain fluid, which is why water weight drops so rapidly when you stop eating them. Because you’re losing a lot of fluids, you’ll need to replenish electrolytes. You can do this by taking electrolyte powder or by consuming a large number of vegetables. Sea salt is also very beneficial.

Keto-adaptation is the phase in which your body is adjusting and getting into ketosis. During this phase, you may notice temporary unwanted side effects like irritability, moodiness, and fatigue. These symptoms shouldn’t last longer than 3 days.

Make sure your carbs are low enough and also practice intermittent fasting to avoid negative side effects during keto-adaptation. B vitamins can help lessen these symptoms. Nutritional yeast is one of the best natural sources of B vitamins.

You may notice low blood sugar symptoms when doing intermittent fasting. This will also subside once you’re fully keto-adapted.

Luckily, not everyone experiences negative side effects when adapting to keto. Many people skip straight to these amazing keto diet results:
•Smaller waist
•Less bloating
•Weight loss
•Better digestion
•More energy
•Improved mood
•Clearer skin
•More developed muscles from increased human growth hormone
•Decreased inflammation
•Improved cognitive function
