In this video, we’re going to discuss how you can fix a short leg. There is a muscle in your body called the quadratus lumborum. This muscle connects the last rib to the top of the hip bone.

If the quadratus lumborum is too tight on either side, you may notice a leg length difference or a short leg. Tightness in the quadratus lumborum can be caused by a fall or injury, causing the muscle to spasm and tighten up.

A heel lift is not a viable solution for a short leg. In fact, lifting the heel can make the problem worse by driving the hip even higher.

Watch as I demonstrate some stretching techniques to fix your short leg. With my technique, we actually work on the long leg to make changes to the short leg!
