You may need to take sea salt even if you’re using my electrolyte powder.

In this video, I explain that my electrolyte powder isn’t meant to be a sodium replacement, and therefore you need to know how to use it properly when you’re on keto and using my powder.
If you’re doing exercise while on the ketogenic diet you’ll be losing mainly sodium. Sure, some of the other electrolytes too, but mainly sodium. For instance, a professional football player could potentially lose up to six grams of sodium in one hour, because of how much they sweat.
Yet my product contains just ten milligrams of sodium, a fraction of a percentage of six grams. And the average RDA (recommended daily allowance) of sodium is 2,300 milligrams.
If you’re exercising and sweating a lot, and take my electrolyte powder thinking you’ll replace the sodium you lose, that’s not accurate. You could end up with a sodium deficiency. The symptoms are:
●Muscle weakness
●Fatigue
●Brain fog
●Cramps
●Salt craving
●Headaches
When you take my product, it’s assumed you’re taking enough salt especially if you’re doing keto and intermittent fasting. You need at least one teaspoon of sea salt per day. If you’re exercising you need more, depending on how much you do and how much you sweat.
I created this product based on what most people are deficient in:
●Potassium
●Magnesium
●Chloride
●Calcium
With sodium as the least amount because most people have way too much of it. However, if you’re on keto and intermittent fasting and lowering your carbs, as well as exercising, I want to emphasize that you’ll need sea salt to avoid the symptoms listed above.
Potassium and sodium work together. If you’re already sodium deficient, taking more potassium could throw off your ratios and magnify your sodium deficiency. The simple solution is to make sure you get enough salt based on your exercise. Then your electrolytes will be fine.
