Today we're going to talk about Alzheimer's disease. I'm going to cover a little bit about the Alzheimer's brain.

Alzheimer's disease explained:
The brain is composed of neurons, and you have synapses between the neurons where communication travels, and certain electrical impulses occur.

The brain only represents 2% of all the tissues, but it takes up 20% of all the fuel. It's a fuel hog.

The essence of Alzheimer's is basically atrophy of the neuron, and you're losing synapses. The reason why this is happening is because they are starving to death. They are starving of glucose, which is their fuel.

Other things going on with the brain and Alzheimer's:

• Amyloid plaque
• Glycation
• Loss of oxygen
• Loss of hippocampus
• Low insulin (the rest of the body has high insulin)

What to do if you have Alzheimer's or you're looking for Alzheimer's prevention:

• Run your brain on ketones
• Take ketones directly (exogenous ketones or MCT oil)
• Do intermittent fasting
