In this video, we’re going to talk about diabetic stomach, and how you can deal with this condition while doing keto and intermittent fasting. If you're a diabetic, you might experience nausea or vomiting due to hyperglycemia.

Sometimes when you have chronic hyperglycemia or high blood sugar, it can affect the nervous system, causing a condition known as peripheral neuropathy. Peripheral neuropathy is characterized by hypersensitivity in the fingers and toes, pins and needles, or burning. You might also have hyposensitivity and experience numbness.

Blood sugar issues and high insulin destroy the nervous systems and the blood vessels that supply the nervous system. High blood sugar and high insulin can also affect the autonomic nervous system, causing autonomic neuropathy. This can cause issues with your bladder, cardiovascular system, digestive system, respiratory system, and sexual function.

When you start a keto diet, you might deal with hypoglycemia, not hyperglycemia. Diabetic stomach symptoms when starting keto and intermittent fasting are typically the result of a preexisting hyperglycemic condition. To prevent these symptoms, gradually ease your way into intermittent fasting.

Start with 3 meals per day and be sure that you are consuming plenty of fat with each meal. You can gradually drop to 2 meals per day, and eventually one meal per day. The key is to make these changes gradually.
