2:20 Vitamins and their importance for the gallbladder
In this video, we’re going to continue to talk about the gallbladder. This is part 3 in a 4 part series about the gallbladder. Today I want to cover the gallbladder & vitamin A, D, E, and K2 connection.
The normal stomach acid should be at a pH of 1-3. This is very acidic. This is essential for the stomach to release bile. Bile helps to absorb minerals and vitamins from the foods that we eat. If the acid in the stomach is low, you can get GERD or acid reflux. If you have GERD or acid reflux, then you probably have a bile deficiency. Low-sodium diets can cause acid reflux.
A lack of stomach acids can cause a deficiency of bile. The stomach controls the release of bile. With gallbladder problems, you can have a deficiency of vitamin A, D, E K1, and K2.
Low vitamin A can cause night blindness, dry skin, dry throat, and acne. Vitamin D controls the absorption of calcium, which helps in bone and muscle contraction. It also helps with cellular communication, and it helps improve the immune system. Vitamin K2 is a calcium transporter and keeps calcium out of soft tissues. Low vitamin K2 can cause arthritis, strokes, cataracts, gallstones.
