In this video, we’re going to talk about the gallbladder and what you need to know if you had your gallbladder removed.
The liver makes bile that travels through the bile duct and is supposed to go into the gallbladder where it gets stored and concentrated. You need a significant amount of concentrated bile to actually digest a meal. But without the gallbladder, the bile trickles down into the small intestine and is never concentrated.
Removing the gallbladder doesn’t really fix the root problem. Gallstones are a symptom of something deeper. Even a sluggish gallbladder could be a symptom of something deeper like high estrogen or high insulin.
Without enough bile, there is also a chance that you could have long-term deficiencies of vitamin A, vitamin D, vitamin E, and vitamin K.
