In this video, I want to really narrow in on the topic of appetite.

• Overweight people have insulin resistance and higher insulin.
• People with type 2 diabetes have 9 times more insulin than normal people.

Insulin is the hormone that not just blocks fat burning but keeps your appetite high. Most people never tap into fat burning, they're running on glycogen, and they have way too much insulin that keeps them hungry all of the time.

*You need to lower insulin and fix insulin resistance.

What is insulin resistance?
If you look at insulin like it's a key, one of its functions is to open the door on the cells to allow glucose to go in to feed the cells. But, it also allows amino acids and nutrients into the cell. If you have insulin resistance, you are not going to be able to allow the nutrition or the fuel to go into the cell. This situation will cause you not to feel satisfied.

When you drop your carbs, go on keto, and do intermittent fasting—your insulin is going to go down, and your body is going to start tapping into fat. It takes time for your body to adapt to ketosis, and it may take longer, depending on how much insulin resistance you have. It can take even longer if you have diabetes.

Your goal should not be weight loss initially. It should be to fix insulin resistance. If your appetite is going down, your insulin resistance is starting to be fixed.

What you can do to speed up the progress:

• Take MCT oil
• Take nutrients
• Do intermittent fasting
• Keep carbs down
