Today we’re going to talk about why apple cider vinegar works for weight loss. It really has nothing to do with the nutrition in the apple cider vinegar and everything to do with the acetic acid that’s in apple cider vinegar.

Acetic acid lowers the output of insulin. It can potentially help improve insulin resistance. It can also potentially help decrease blood sugars and improve A1C. Insulin is the main hormone that causes you to gain weight. So, anything that helps improve insulin will also help you lose weight.

Mix 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar and 1 tablespoon of lemon juice in a 12 oz. glass of water. You could add honey, but only if it’s for your kids or you're not trying to lose weight. Instead of honey you could try liquid stevia lemon drops or just liquid stevia to add sweetness.

I like to have this drink once in the morning and once in the evening. You could have it with your meals if you have a digestive issue or on an empty stomach. You can also have this dink before bed.
