Today we're going to talk about why people can't lose weight. This is the first video in a three-part series.
The two main reasons people can't lose weight:
1. They're not eating the right things for their body type.
2. Their body's ability to burn fat.
Keep in mind—it's get healthy to lose weight, not lose weight to get healthy. You have to get healthy to be able to lose weight. If you were healthy, you wouldn't have the weight in the first place. We want to put attention on getting your body to metabolize faster and burn fat easier.
Getting healthy really has to do with recovery. Recovery is your ability to bounce back from exercise, stress, and sleep.
How do we improve recovery?
You have to take things away from your body, like stress. I have found that it's the accumulation of stress that destroys your recovery. We need to do things to extract stress like acupressure.
Overall:
• Try not to overtrain
• Get more sleep
• Try to pull stress out of the body
