Flax seeds have a lot of benefits. But, be sure you get sprouted flax seeds. Here’s why.

1:55 What are sprouted flax seeds?
In this video, we’re going to talk about flaxseed.
Benefits of flax seeds:
• They’re packed with omega-3 fatty acids
• They’re high in fiber
• They have ligands (ligands can help balance estrogen)
• They have a lot of vitamin B1
• They have a lot of copper and other minerals
The problem is that flax seeds also have enzyme inhibitors. This means that flax seeds aren’t digested. Enzyme inhibitors prevent the breakdown of the flaxseed and the absorption of minerals and protein in the body.
Flax oil can have benefits as well as fresh, crushed flax seeds. Otherwise, they will have enzyme inhibitors.
However, what I suggest is getting sprouted flax seeds. When the flax seeds sprout, they no longer have enzyme inhibitors, and they can be digested. You can add sprouted flax seeds to your salad, kale shake, and more and actually absorb the minerals.
