In this video, I want to talk to you about a huge problem we have today. The average American drinks 50 gallons of poison every year. Check this out:

Sugar turns into two forms in the body: glucose and fructose. Glucose triggers insulin and then is used by your cells for energy. Your body is used to processing and using glucose. However, fructose is a whole other story. None of your cells use fructose. Instead, it ends up in the liver. Your liver treats fructose like a poison.

To get rid of fructose, the liver has to convert it into fat deposits, which can accumulate around the liver, heart, and other organs. It’s a massive contributor to fatty liver.

Fructose messes with the receptors in the liver, causing insulin resistance and diabetes. It also causes fatty liver disease, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, fluid retention, inflammation, and liver cirrhosis.

Keep in mind that the fructose is fruit is not the same as having high-fructose corn syrup. Avoid products like soda, fruit juice, and candy. Check the labels on the food you buy. You’ll find it in cereal, yogurt, ice cream, snack foods, and even so-called “healthy” foods.

Unlike other forms of sugar, you can consume a massive amount of fructose without feeling satisfied. This leads to overindulging in unhealthy things like sodas. It’s also highly addictive—more addictive than cocaine.

Instead of sugary sodas, you can use carbonated water and liquid flavored stevia.
