In this video, we’re going to talk about omega-3 fatty acids and some of the best omega-3 foods. Omega-3 fatty acids are essential fatty acids, which means they must come from the diet. The 3 main omega-3s are DHA, EPA, and ALA.

DHA is good for the brain, eyes, and heart. Some of the best sources of DHA are fish, fish oil, algae, eggs (pasture-raised, organic), and grass-fed beef. DHA is also incredibly important for dementia and other memory issues.

EPA is good for the eyes and heart, and is a great anti-inflammatory agent. Sources of EPA are the same omega-3 foods that contain DHA.

ALA is beneficial for your heart and brain and is also a potent anti-inflammatory agent. Flax, chia, and walnuts are good sources of ALA.
