Today we’re going to talk about testosterone boosters and whether or not it’s ok to take them long-term. The herbal testosterone booster we’re talking about is called tongkat ali. Tongkat ali may help lower estrogen, which can naturally increase testosterone.

In a study on tongkat ali,
• There was an increase of testosterone by 440%
• There was an increase in fertility
• It was used to help treat prostatitis
• There was an increase in DHEA by 47% in 3 weeks
• There was a decrease in SHBG by 66% in 6 weeks
• There was an increase in sperm quantity, speed, and size
• There was an increase in libido
• There was an increase in physical performance

So, can you take an herbal testosterone booster long-term? Well, there are no long-term studies. But, anytime you take something to increase a hormone in the body, you could naturally inhibit your body’s production of this hormone at some level. Maybe the real thing to focus on is why your testosterone is low in the first place.

You could try taking a testosterone booster short-term as you correct the underlying cause of why your testosterone could be low.
