In this video, we’re going to talk about the good, bad, and ugly of estrogen.
Estrogen is not a single hormone—it’s a complex of three hormones. Each of these hormones works together in different ratios. When this ratio is altered—especially as you age—it can cause a hormonal imbalance.
2-hydroxy estrogen has protective properties. However, 16-hydroxy can increase your risk of cancer if it’s too high. It’s important to normalize the balance of these hormones to minimize your health risks.
GMO foods are a major contributor to hormonal imbalances. They can increase your estrogen and throw off your estrogen balance.
Your liver helps get rid of excess estrogen. However, if your liver is fatty, scarred, or otherwise diseased, this can decrease your ability to get rid of excess estrogen.
The best remedies for high estrogen are:
• Cruciferous vegetables (DIM)
• Sea kelp (natural iodine)
• Avoiding GMO foods (go organic!)
If you’re over 50, you want to actively balance your estrogen with these three remedies.
