Today we’re going to talk about the side effects of birth control pills. I wanted to create some awareness about what ’s going on and the long-term effects I’ve seen in women who take birth control pills.

Women typically take birth control pills either to prevent pregnancy or to help with an uncomfortable and irregular cycle. Birth control pills are basically estrogen, but they can have other things in them as well.

Some risk factors of birth control pills:
• Cancer
• Fibroids
• Endometriosis
• Low thyroid
• Yeast infection
• Acne
• Weight gain
• Cysts

Alternative birth control options:
• Condoms
• Diaphragm
• Lady Q stick
