In this video, I want to talk to you about the best liver-cleansing foods. First, I want to start by saying that the liver is the only internal organ that can completely, 100% regenerate. All you need is 25% of your liver left to do that. However, it can take three and a half years of healthy eating to do that.
The absolute best things you can eat for cleansing and repairing the liver are cruciferous vegetables. This includes:
• Kale
• Collard greens
• Cabbage
• Broccoli
• Brussels Sprouts
• Radish
Unfortunately, many people do not care for these vegetables, and they don’t add enough of them in their diet.
Cruciferous vegetables contain vital nutrients, including vitamins, minerals, trace minerals, and phytonutrients.
Phytonutrients have some very unique health-boosting properties. They help promote healthfulness and avoid many diseases.
The liver has many different functions. It:
• Makes protein
• Controls blood sugar
• Controls detoxification
• Stores fat-soluble vitamins
• Makes certain hormones (IGF and growth hormone)
Unfortunately, many issues with the liver will not show up until 95% of the liver is destroyed. However, if you have a potbelly, this could be a tell-tale sign of a fatty liver. If that’s you, it’s not a bad idea to go ahead and start eating cruciferous vegetables immediately. They can help dissolve fat and protect your health down the road.
If you cannot get more cruciferous vegetables in your diet, you can use a cruciferous supplement. I have my Organic Cruciferous Food product that contains beetroot, brussels sprouts, sprouts, cauliflower, asparagus, kale, parsley, red radish, cabbage, garlic, turmeric, and even organic sea kelp. Sea kelp contains a lot of iodine, which helps balance out any loss of iodine from consuming cruciferous vegetables.
