In this video, we’re going to talk about fatty liver symptoms and how to help reverse a fatty liver.
The liver is a large organ, and it performs so many different functions. The liver plays a role in things, such as:
• Immune control
• Digestion
• The detoxification of chemicals
• Building up proteins
You can’t always go by how you feel when it comes to the liver. In some cases, 90% of the liver can be destroyed, and you may be functioning fine.
Symptoms of a bad liver issue:
• Bloating
• Right shoulder pain
• The whites of your eyes turn yellow
• Skin issues
• Itching on the bottoms of the feet or palms of the hands
• A protruding belly
A person’s lifestyle plays an important role in liver functioning and liver failure.
There are several stages of liver damage that can occur - inflammation, fat deposits, and scar tissue. The scar tissue can then lead to cirrhosis. The liver is one of the only organs in the body that can regenerate itself, but it generally takes time. To help reverse a fatty liver, it’s important to stop the things that destroy the liver (without moderation) and add the things that will help create a healthy liver. Bad eating, alcohol, and certain medications can harm the liver. Foods that can help heal the liver are bitter vegetables.
The best foods for the liver are cruciferous vegetables like:
• Kale
• Brussels sprouts
• Collared greens
• Mustard greens
• Spinach
However, many other vegetables are also excellent, such as:
• Radish
• Garlic
• Turmeric
The liver also needs certain oils. The types of fats that are good for the liver are called medium-chain triglycerides, such as coconut oil. Another thing that may be beneficial for a fatty liver is apple cider vinegar mixed in water.
You may find that kombucha tea is a great alternative to alcohol for relaxation.
