In this video, Dr. Berg talked about when NOT to consume vegetables. You need at least 7 to 10 cups of vegetables to get all the nutrients you need and the fiber in vegetables feeds the microbes in order for them to survive.

It would also provide all the phytonutrients that go beyond vitamins and minerals. SIBO or small intestinal bacterial overgrowth is a condition where the microbes are living in the wrong place which is in the small intestine and could cause nutritional deficiencies and tremendous amounts of bloating. This condition is caused by the stomach not being acidic enough or you have taken antibiotics.

Benefits of Vegetables:
• Fiber feeds microbes
• Phytonutrients
• Provides nutrients
• Buffer pH

SIBO or Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth:
• Avoid for 1 month – Give the body some time to remove bacteria in the small intestine
• Acidify Stomach – Apple cider vinegar and betaine hydrochloride
• Avoid Probiotic
• Fasting – The normal transition of time or the time it takes for the food to go into your entire digestive system is between 36 to 40 hours.
• Herbal Antibiotic – Clove, Oregano, Garlic – A great way to help kill off microbes without the side effects.
