In this video, we’re going to talk about which foods to avoid if you have eczema.

Many people don’t know that these common foods can trigger or cause eczema.

Eczema is a skin condition that causes certain symptoms, including:
• Itchy skin
• Redness/rashes
• Sensitive, inflamed skin
• Small raised bumps or hives
• Itchy blisters on hands and feet

The most common things used for eczema are topical steroids and prednisone. However, these drugs have many potential side effects.

These are the foods you should avoid if you have eczema:
1. Gluten
• Wheat
• Barley
• Rye

2. Histamine-rich foods
• Alcohol
• Fermented foods (dairy, vegetables, etc.)
• Dried fruits
• Avocado
• Eggplant
• Spinach
• Shellfish
• Aged cheese

3. Foods that trigger histamine
• Bananas
• Tomatoes
• Wheat germ
• Beans
• Papaya
• Chocolate
• Citrus fruits
• Nuts (especially walnuts, cashews, and peanuts)
• Food dyes, additives, and preservatives

4. Dairy products

5. Eggs

6. Fast food

7. Nightshades
• Tomatoes
• Eggplant
• Peppers
• Potato

I know this can sound intimidating because this cuts many foods out of your diet. However, you are still left with many great food choices. Check out the link above for low-histamine foods that are safe on Healthy Keto.

Foods low in histamines:
• Asparagus
• Bell pepper
• Blueberries
• Cabbage
• Cauliflower
• Grass-fed beef
• Green leafy vegetables
• Turkey
• White fish
• Green tea
• Liver
• Squash
• Zucchini
